  • [css | forms | safari] A specific bug has surfaced in the Safari browser (probably also Konqueror) that makes forms using the contentform.css disappear! The bug has been triggered by the bug fix for the block content float issue. More information on Safari forms issue.
  • [CMS] Heading 1 or Heading 2? A big issue for sites already in the CMS. More information on the H1 issue
  • [CMS] Home pages display poorly in the wysiwyg editor. Poor CSS support in the wysiwyg causes background images to repeat making some text difficult to see. No known fix.
  • [CMS, css] home pages in the wysiwyg editor are affected by repeating background images. The wysiwyg editor is not recognising all the style attributes, a CSS based fix should be possible.
  • [CMS] The standard forms styles have not yet been migrated into the CMS.
  • [javascript] document, test and release forms validation script
  • [css] forms not properly handled in print or handheld style sheets
  • create a guide to document the insertion of Metadata using Dreamweaver
  • create a guide to using some of the special styles in the supplied css
  • [css] sidebar floats off onto the coloured background on internal templates
  • [css] a menu item of a particular length will cause a slight misalignment in IE6 when the page is selected and the css styles it with bold and italic.

Low priority / wish list

  • [css] minor styling issue with likert scales in IE5.5/win
  • [javascript] form validation doesn’t recognise correctly filled fields on a reloaded page
  • [javascript] search field behaviour for other forms?
  • [javascript/css] Scrolling tables with fixed headers

Resolved

  • [SSI] Windows IIS servers inexplicably strip out the closing </a> tag in the branding space include. Placing a non-printing character (eg: non breaking space &nbsp;) after the tag fixes the problem.
  • [javascript] bug in IE which fails to recognise the ‘base’ href for purposes of identifying menu parent etc. Partially resolved - no further action for now.
  • [css] home page icons need minimum height in IE5/6 - eg: where an icon has less than 3 links
  • testing on SSL connections required : some sites have been created on ssl servers with no problems
  • create a guide to document the home page structure - icons/divs etc. (guide created)
  • [css] ‘block context’ problems in content area causing issues with the menu and particularly the sidebar. More information on this issue.
  • [css] bug in IE ≤6 where menu forces slight indent of content - barely noticable except when collapsing/expanding menu [fixed with the block context fix]
